As we get fatter as a nation, the more we are bombarded with images of slim female supermodels, celebrities and advertising models, selling us everything from yoghurt to computers. It doesn’t seem fair!
A quick browse of the tabloids reveals bitchy comments about the latest female soap star or celebrity to have put on weight and look fat in a holiday photo.
With this constant pressure, it is no wonder that we look at ourselves critically and think about dieting!
Being overweight is probably one of the major issues that affect most women’s self-image. Although some women have unrealistic expectations of how they wish to look, most of us would simply like to lose some weight, maybe a dress size or two and get fitter.
Getting fit is important but how many busy women today have the time to exercise?
